Cozily located in the lap of the Kanchenjunga, Darjeeling is a land blessed with several wonders of nature, ornamental monasteries, rich tea plantations and hills which are nothing short of paradise for trekkers. Another paradise, wreathed in clouds perched at a height of 1500 mts is the capital city of Sikkim-Gangtok. The pagoda-like wooden houses, painted turquoise roofs, the busy bazaars,lamas spinning wheels, friendly localites, the mystic beauty of the hills, whipping prayer flags and stupas make the city of Gangtok a great place for tourism. Famous for its monasteries, Pemayangtse, is a town which serves as a very important Buddhist pilgrim centre. The town is must-visit if you love trekking trails and the picturesque views of the Kanchenjunga range. A tour around these places will not only leave you with pictures painted by nature herself but the fresh cool air of the region has some stress relieving effects that will make your vacation a wonderful one.

Day 1: ARRIVE KOLKATA

Upon arrival at Kolkata International Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to the hotel where you will be assisted for the check in. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: KOLKATA - BAGDOGRA (FLIGHT) BAGDOGRA - DARJEELING

In time transfer to airport to board the flight for Bagdogra. Meeting and assistance on arrival at airport and depart for Darjeeling by surface. On arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: DARJEELING

Kanchenjunga, Mount Everest etc. Then we visit the Ghoom Monastery, this is oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Tiger Hill. After breakfast proceed to the Darjeeling Railway station to enjoy World Heritage Toy Train ride up to Ghoom. It has tiny 4-wheel locomotives (some over 100 years old) like living legends. One can experience the sound, smell and romance of a bygone era. Return to the hotel for lunch and Later proceed for city tour. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursdays). The Institute was started in Darjeeling when Tenzing Norgay climbed Everest. Attached to institute one can visit Himalayan Zoological Park where one can see animals and several varieties of birds. After that we will visit the Tibetan Self-Help Centre (Closed on Sundays), this institute is run by Tibetan Refugees to preserve their handicrafts and one can see making of Tibetan Carpets, Leather work, Paintings and Wooden work etc.

Day 4: DARJEELING - PEMAYANGTSE

Morning you will leave Darjeeling by surface for Pemayangtse. On arrival, check in at hotel. Afternoon visit Monastery belonging to the Nyingma - pa sect. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: PEMAYANGTSE - GANGTOK

Morning leave Pemayangtse by surface for Gangtok. On arrival, check in at hotel. Afternoon free. Gangtok is the capital and largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim and at the centre of Sikkim's tourism industry. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6: GANGTOK

Morning, visit Enchey Monastery and pass by the Tashiling (the secretariat building), Tsuk-La-Khang (Royal chapel) and Handicrafts Centre. Afternoon, visit Namgyal institute of Tibetology, the chorten (memorial for dead) and Orchid Sanctuary and then Monastery of Gyalwa Karmapa at Rumtek. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: GANGTOK - BAGDOGRA BAGDOGRA - KOLKATA (FLIGHT)

Leave Gangtok by surface for Bagdogra In time to reach the Airport for flight for Kolkata. On arrival in Kolkata you would be transferred to the international airport.
